Bargaining Council Updates: Imposters, Postal Returns & SAPO Liquidation, & New Staff Members

Postal Returns – Please send your Contact Email Addresses for More Efficient Processing

For some months, the Council has been requesting establishments which receive their Returns by post, to provide us with their email addresses for this purpose. The SAPO is undergoing a process of Provisional Liquidation and its future is unknown. Thus, it is becoming increasingly important that establishments provide us with their email addresses for receipt of Returns.

Please send your contact email addresses for purposes of correspondence with the Council and receipt of Returns to accounts@hcsbc.co.za or to amend@hcsbc.co.za.

Please note that a failure to receive Returns will not exempt establishments from complying with their legal obligations.

Important: Imposter Presenting as Council Staff

It has come to our attention that an individual has attempted to extract payment of money from an establishment in the Western Cape by way of email in which they misrepresent that they are a staff member of the Council.

If in doubt, please check the email addresses from which emails are sent to you, the names of staff on our website, or call us. Please note that the Council’s bank account number for payment appears on your Returns and on the Council’s website.

Please Welcome Our New Council Staff

Please join us in welcoming Melisha Dhanuk who joins us in our Durban Office as Credit Controller and Office Supervisor.

We are also very pleased to announce that Sudarshan Poovalingam has been appointed as the Council’s Legal and Compliance Manager with effect from 1 May and is working from our Johannesburg office.

Please consult the Council’s WEBSITE for the contact details of Agents in your area.
