Here are two aspects to consider as salons resume business and start ironing out the details!

Insurance coverage and pricing.

• Insurance companies will probably NOT cover Covid-19 issues for us – how will you cover yourself if someone will prosecute if they think they contracted the virus in-salon?

• This would be something you need to discuss as individuals with your Broker or Insurance contact.

Your amount of clients per day will be severely less than before Lockdown, with cleaning/sanitation in-between – will you be raising your prices until things get back to a new normal?

• Prices to your consumers will naturally have to be raised, as it will now include PPE gear, plus the cost of a one on one service based on whole salon cost and to break even. (A great way to explain this to consumers would be going to Gym – if you are a gym member you pay a certain fee to belong and utilize facilities and classes in groups. However, if you request a personal trainer with one-on-one time and training, it will be more expensive).
