Hairnews Industry Awards 2020: Categories Announced
The Hairnews Industry Awards 2020 will recognise salons and hairstylists in a variety of categories.
Here is more information on the main categories and how to enter so you can start to prepare.
Entries will open on Friday 15 November, and will remain open through December 2019 and January 2020. All information will be found HERE.
Categories will be judged by experts in the field or voted for by the industry (depending on the category).

There are 6 categories for the Hairnews Industry Awards 2020
Creative Awards
Recognising creative excellence in three categories
• Best Photoshoot Collection (2 or more styles comprising a professional photo shoot)
• Best In-Salon Makeover: Before and Afters (a “before” photo and up to 3 “after” pics of each look)
• Best Gents’ Barbering (up to 3 photos of each look)

Salon Interiors Awards
• Best Salon Interior (1 to 5 photos of your salon interior, layout plan, explanation of why your salon interior suits its setting, your clientele, and its brand and philosophy)

Social Media Awards
• Best Social Media: Salon Category – Judges will assess the social media pages for the whole salon
• Best Social Media: Hairstylist Category – Judges will assess the social media pages for an individual hairstylist or one person business

Industry Personality Awards (entrants must be nominated by others)
• Best Loved Hairdressing Mentor
• Best Loved Hairdressing Educator
• Most Inspirational SA Hairdresser

Operator Awards (entrants must be nominated by the employer / salon owner)
• Salon Angel Award for Operator Excellence
• Long Service Award for Salon Operators

Product Awards (entrants must be nominated by salons who use and love the products)

• Best Loved Colour Range
