Natural Hair Trend is Rocking Afro Hair Globally

James Earnshaw, creative manager for Bad Apple Hair in the UK, has revealed his top Afro hair trends for the new season – and trend number one is natural hair – proof that this trend really is rocking salons and clients around the globe.

James explains:

Embracing natural texture, and Afro hair in its beautiful, natural, wild state, is something we’ve seen for a while now – on the catwalk, on Instagram, and in real life. Rather than fighting the natural curl and texture of Afro hair, women are – finally – shunning damaging treatments and straightening processes in favour of showing off what they were naturally blessed with. Curls can be left to look wild and untamed or can be styled. The emphasis is on encouraging the natural texture and curl structure of the hair, regardless of the finish.

One of the advantages of natural texture is that it’s easier to colour the hair as you are not dealing with hair that has already undergone another chemical process while being straightened / relaxed. This allows clients to flaunt the fashionable colour of their choice without damaging their hair.
